Our mission is to share the beauty, history and fun of traditional German band music with the people of all ages by performing at concerts, festivals and other events. Our vision is to be recognized as one of the top bands performing traditional German music in North America.
The band was organized in 1985. Since then, we have regularly performed at city park concerts, senior citizen residences, and private events. In recent years we have performed at Germanic festivals in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, South Dakota, and at the German American Mardi Gras Association annual meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada. We do about 20 concerts a year.
In 2009 we recorded our fifth CD, "Blumen Fur Dich." Our fourth CD, "Blasmusik fur Zwanzig Jahren," (Wind Instrument Music for Twenty Years) was recorded at the Minnesota Public Radio Maud Moon Weyerhaeuser Studio in St. Paul, Minnesota.
The Band is comprised of flutes, clarinets, trumpets, tenor horns, baritones, flugelhorns, trombones, tubas and percussion.
